Dell Streak Impressing Web Reviewers

A new smart phone that is now on the market in the United Kingdom comes from a very nontraditional source for such devices, Dell. It turns out that the Dell Streak is one of the more innovative devices to come out in years, according to reviewers, and offers some truly unique features not found on similar phones. A large screen and the Android OS from Google are part of what have UK tech experts interested to see how popular this device may become. The Streak is said to be not quite as polished as some of the other devices on the market today, such as the HTC or Apple iPhone models, but it is definitely garnering a fair amount of media attention considering how new it is. The Streak will offer some more features that are much closer to the Apple iPad than the iPhone and the price of just under 400 pounds sterling definitely has the interest of the UK crowd who want an alternative to the Apple device. Currently, the Streak is available only through a shop called O2 and not as widely as some other devices, but the pay as you go deal Dell offers appeals to the UK audience and the 2 year voice and data contract has proven to be perfectly acceptable, as well.

The service is considerably lower in price for those who are not interested in using the phone feature and prefer data, making a 10 pound difference when that is the case. The Dell device is being lauded as a hybrid between smart phone and pad, but it will be up to users to decide if the 5 mega pixel camera and video recording capabilities make it outshine the iPad.
