A year since the last major update from Mozilla, out comes Firefox 3.5, albeit with not as much promotion. The newer Firefox is fast enough to go head to head with Chrome and Safari 4, increasing the speed of Firefox 3. 3.5 also adds more great features to an already great product. Improving upon the undo closed tab feature, Firefox 3.5 features undo closed window, which re-opens windows closed accidentally with the tabs you had open. The session restore feature is also improved and said to be smarter than previous versions.
Had a site you went to once or twice and now it’s constantly in your address bar? An issue for me, which can be fixed with the Forget this site feature. One other top feature is Geo Location. When using Google Maps or similar, instead of any where in your country showing up, it now gives you results based on your IP address.
You can download the full Firefox 3.5 here, or if you need a portable edition, PortableApps have worked their magic into turning it portable, which you can download here.
