We recently reported on the Skype app being updated for the iPhone which now allows Skype to Skype calls over 3G. Unfortunately, the service would only be free until August 2010, which caused some uproar from users. It’s now been confirmed that the free period has been extended to 2011. That is, until the end of 2010 anyway, giving you three months longer to try out the service. After that, a monthly fee will be introduced. Unfortunately there’s still no information regarding how small the fee actually will be.
