Google have implemented a “Mobile App Results” feature into their Google Mobile search results, which gives you a link to the app. The feature works on both the Apple iPhone and Android powered handsets, with the links taking you to the App Store or the Android Market. Basic details on the app are also included, as well as information on the publisher, price and even rating. How useful it actually will be remains to be seen though, as you could continue to search via the App Store/Android Market place. One instance I could see it being useful though, is if you’re already browsing the internet and searching for an app directly from the browser instead of opening the respective App Store/Market would be quicker and more convenient. Of course, the regular search results will also be display underneath, which could show you reviews from other sources, or other information.
