Windows Mobile handsets receive text messages from 2016

If you’re using a Windows Mobile handset, since Friday you may have received messages with the received date as 2016. There isn’t any official support yet but, a .CAB file has been released which is said to solve the problem. There’s also no official word on why this is happening but, speculation points to HEX code. In HEX, 10 is 16. The problem appears to be limited to Windows Mobile devices and also does not affect T-Mobile users.
